Steel-toed boots

Have you ever been told you must wear a hard hat?  Or steel-toed shoes?  Normally, it’s in an area where there’s danger.  A place where you could get hurt, if you don’t follow directions.  A place where the person knows it could be tough going, if you don’t wear the intended gear.
Today, I needed steel-toed boots.
You may not, and it’s not new, but like water-we can never step in the same river twice.  The water’s always changing, and we are, as well.  Here’s what I heard:  Everything we go through is a season.  We can’t compare ours with anyone else’s, because like the seasons….they change.  If you’ve been in a cold, hard winter…look up!  Spring is heading your way!  Experiencing spring, and new growth?  Be strong for the winter that will come- in it’s time.  You may be thinking you should be in spring, because the person/people you see- are there.  It does absolutely no good to compare…it’s just their season.  Should we prepare for the next one:  Of course!  The farmer who cares for his/her field will reap the best crops!  There is a seed time and a harvest time.  There always will be, and it always works.  Don’t give up.  Don’t be discouraged.  Don’t expect the harvest to be immediate.  If you’re planting, it will come.  If it’s time to rest, do it.  The crops will be better the next time you plant.
Why steel-toed boots?
I am ready, willing, and…well….not able to work.  Every sentence is redone, and corrected over and over…back up, delete, change the spelling, etc. because I am not right…yet.  My speech?  Not right yet.  My thoughts?  I think they’re clear, but really?  Perhaps they are only partially so.
Everything changed October 18.  Twelve days ago.  We still have an MRI to go, to give us answers.  Results.  So far, they have none.
Am I raring to go?  Chomping at the bit?  Yes!
And, no.  It takes so long to do “normal” things, that I simply know it’s not quite time.  In business and life, there are special times and people.  I’ve been blessed with both!   As we move forward, I don’t want to take one minute for granted.  One experience, and not learn from it.  One delay, and not use it for part of my story later.
So.   Today in business, the founder himself will take my call, and I will let him.  I will speak, as it’s rare that I wouldn’t, but one more week-Lord willing-and I’ll be back to normal.  Hahaha!  Hopefully.  And whatever normal means.  😉
Has something stopped you in your tracks?  Is it dangerous to continue without a hard hat?  Steel-toed boots?  Be safe, y’all, and take the precautions needed.  That step?  Frustrating?  Maybe.  But…it’s for a reason, it’s just a season…and is your wisest move forward.  🙂
Are you under construction?  You are not alone.
Plus-sized faith today,  1f499(1)Donnarae
