Have you ever been stopped in your tracks? The hum of a distant mower, the cheery birdsong, the drone of a plane overhead…all reminders that it’s March. March! Happy St. Patrick’s Day, and Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Erin, and faithful spiritual encourager Calleen, as well.
Time for an update. 🙂
Since October:
-the scary interruption of our last road-trip that landed me in the ER…and started much testing
-the seemingly insurmountable medical diagnosis 3 days after Christmas…
-coupled with mountains of medical bills continuing to pile like still-falling-snow to a winter-weary soul…
paired with the
-physical stability-robbing/
–confidence-swaying/
-forced-dependence-insecurity in each step, and
-unusual-for-me fatigue…have all taken their toll.
I am reminded even as I read the words above, that the power of life and death are in the tongue. Speak life!
If you’ve followed this journey, you know my man has been absolutely amazing, and I’m so grateful. Family and friends alike, so supportive.
Our God sees. He knows. He hears, and He has not forgotten us. For the gift of life, we praise Him. For helping us in this challenge, we praise Him!
Honestly, for too many months, I’ve been hesitant to picture the future.
Too many unknowns.
Probabilities.
Examples. Predictions.
Fear.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” *2 Timothy 1:7
What I know, now? I’m still here.
And, while I’m here? As I’m able?
I’ll move.
I’ll speak.
I’ll write.
I’ll make a difference for someone, somewhere.
I may be shaky, but the calling He’s given me-is not.
So-
if you’ve been stopped in your tracks, this is for you.
Go. Just, GO!
We don’t have to be perfect to take the next step. Sometimes it’s not as fast as we’d like. Sometimes we need help. But, we can make the decision to keep stepping forward.
“You don’t belong everywhere, you belong somewhere…visit your future everyday.” RB #rich #richway #shelter
