“COME ON, MAN!”

May 31, 2010, Urban Dictionary defined it as:  “What you say when someone says or does something stupid. Originally seen on Football Night in America. Can be elongated or stretched out if quote/action is incredibly stupid. i.e. cooommmme oooonnnn, mmaaaaannnnn.”
WOW.  When someone does something stupid.  Even worse?  Incredibly stupid!  We all have.  We all will, at some point.  That doesn’t seem like a very positive way to start a post, right?
In fact, it seems incredibly positive to me.  I’m positive we should be more aware of the things we say and do, as they all affect others.  But, they don’t have to be in the “stupid” category.  If we pay attention, we have a much better chance to be just the opposite.  :)!  I’m positive that these words will be of value to someone, somewhere, at the perfect time.  I’m positive if this is for you-that it will strike a chord-be a blessing to you, and those your life touches.
My king (of our home.  God is my KING)…soulmate/helpmeet/best friend/husband of almost 29 years- wrote an amazing, seriously beautiful,  positive reminder of this very thing, yesterday.  I use his words as an example of what a positive man can be.  How a Godly, good man can think.  How, though we are not perfect, we are perfect for each other.  With God’s favor and blessing, we live and love.  With every day a new day, we can embrace it, each other, and look forward to the future.  Would you like to see what he wrote?  My heart is full, and I’m so grateful.

Guys?  I recommend you write your wife/or if single-your mom or significant other, a note from your heart.  Ladies?  We can do the same.  We can all take the time to say something to bless someone else  When we do?  We get a huge blessing, ourselves!!  When we don’t?  You guessed it.  Blessing-blocker.  For them.  For you.  For us all.  I don’t ever want to be in that category.  Do you?
COME ON, MAN!
Have we forgotten the power of words?  Have we forgotten that the words we say can determine our future?  The Bible tells us both life AND death are in the power of the tongue.  Now THAT is sobering.  Been talking down to yourself?  Been “fussing” about how broke/sick/sad/mistreated/lonely/scared/nothinggoesright, etc, etc, etc.?
Seriously.  Listen to the words that escape your lips, today.  Oh, nooooo……..  :/  By the way, I’m talking to myself, as well.  Every word matters!
COME ON, MAN!!!
Did you notice the more negative voices you allow to have access to your eyes and ears, the more negatively you speak?  What we fill our minds and hearts with, will come out.  That excess will spill over to everyone around us.  What is your overflow?  Sweet water?  Or, bitter?  Love?  Or hate?  Encouragement?  Or disempowerment?  Do you forgive?  Or, hold a grudge?  Do you build up?  Or tear down?  The list goes on.
Even writing the negative is not easy for me.  You may guess, I do not allow something I know to be negative to have access to what fuels me.  What we say, watch, read, who we trust…mattersI’m positive we should keep it positive!  We can speak words to affirm, to bring joy, to show how much we care, to show how much they matter, to make them feel important, to remind them why they are so incredibly special, to share God’s love, and to start a ripple effect of good.  Writing and thinking about those words?  Now that’s positive!  We can all tweak our day-and someone else’s, as well…by the words we choose to say.  It’s exciting!  Exhilarating!  Magical!  Joyful!  Overwhelmingly HAPPY!  I’ll leave you with a picture of a caption that caught my eye, today.  Screen Shot 2018-04-27 at 1.17.41 PMAlways look for the positive.  :)!
If we don’t?
COME ON, MAN!!!
