What a great word.
Shelter. 
Wind, rain, sleet, snow. heat, cold…when you need a place to go, shelter is what you’re wanting. I love that there is safety in the word. Just saying it-reading it-hearing it-can make you feel safe. The person you love can be your shelter. In their arms, there is safety. Your close circle of friends can be your shelter. Your home…with your family, that is where the true feeling of the word should come to life.
When you’re down, or needing a shoulder or a listening ear…there is shelter. When you wonder if anyone else “gets” you, there is shelter. If you’re a person of faith, the One who made us is a shelter. In the time of storm, He is the Rock in Whom we hide. I’m so thankful.
From what do you need shelter, today? You may feel like no one else is there, but the One who formed you is there. He sees-He hears-He cares. Have you allowed Him to be your shelter lately?
