Pain

I find these words so true.  “A storm reveals the foundation of the temple, it does not change the foundation of the temple.  It is by the storms of life that you will see what you are more of.”
Pain.  It’s an individual experience.  You may have physical pain.  The kind parents warn their kids about.  Warnings like:
“The stove is hot!”
“You’ll shoot your eye out!”
“Watch your step! ”
“Cover your ears!”
“Both hands on the wheel!”
As kids, we may tire of the warnings.  As parents- we continue, so there’s a chance of less pain.
You know, there are other ways to feel pain, that are very real…but carried in your heart.  Or your thoughts.  Or your dreams.  I’m so glad we can go to the healer of all hurts, the Comforter…the Great Physician.  Should we give warnings when danger is near?  Absolutely!  Should we heed those warnings when given?  Every time.
Do we?  Rarely.
Ouch.
