Water. When you’re thirsty? Nothing like it. When you need to scrub away the cares of the day? Water comes to the rescue. Love to swim? Or boat? Or float? Water.
Water can also take on the form of whatever container it’s in. Ever filled a bottle with water? A baggie? A balloon? A pool? An ice-cube tray? Maybe not lately, but you can think back-or ask someone who’s seen more life, or years than you. They’ll probably remember-if they own up to it. 😉
Water can rust, and destroy, as well. There is power in the crashing waves, and rising tides. If one harnesses the flow? Much good can come from it. When it’s out of control? It can knock down buildings, overturn cars, and ruin entire cities. The powerful flow, even a consistent steady stream can polish-even change the shape of rocks! Water can be terrifying to some. To others? Water is amazing!
We need it. We crave it. We should drink it. Half your body weight in ounces is the going recommendation. Try it! 🙂
If the water around you is clean, be grateful. If the water you drink is clean-you are fortunate. Don’t forget many others don’t have that privilege. What if we were thankful every day, for every thing? Including the simple things. Water seems simple. Easy. Everywhere. But, it’s not…for everyone. I’m having some clean water as I read. From a bottle. From the refrigerator. And I’m grateful.
