It’s Game Time!

It’s Game Time!

It’s Wednesday,  and the subject of writing keeps coming up.  How to write a book in a certain number of days.  How to write the perfect income-producing ad.  Why one should write everyday on one’s project.  How to keep it fun, and write about something you enjoy, etc.

The subject of “not living up to one’s full potential”- keeps coming up, as well.  The fact that many people are in hiding.  Hiding their gifts.  Hiding from the truth.  Hiding from the work it takes to become a pro at whatever it is that moves us.  This question then emerges: Is writing a way to hide?

What if speaking is your calling…would writing be the way to run from that?  Or…would writing fuel a later speaking possibility?  Therein lies the question.  The dilemma.  What can be- the struggle.  But-what if one saw speaking and writing as an interchangeable tool?  What is spoken, becomes a short book.  A PDF.  A set of ways to do this, or that.  A guide.  What if the written words give one the next talk?  The next training?  The next conference?

I believe they must go hand in hand, as I’ve seen both taking place, and working together. What stirs one, will stir another.  When spoken from the heart, words will flow from paper through your mouth, to the hearts meant to hear it.  There are people assigned to hear what you have to say, however you say it, and words are a powerful tool.

This tool is used as we speak in person, or on paper.  Life and death are in the tongue. Therefore, for everything that is good, let’s speak life!

Those who speak the words He gives, touch hearts.  Those who touch hearts, will give others permission to stop running, and hiding, as well.  Do you have something to say?

When we come out of hiding, it gives someone else permission to do the same.  It allows others to realize they no longer have to wait-if they are ready to make the decision that it’s time to get started!

Why would we not do what He has placed on our heart to do?  Why would we not live the life that could bring us-and others-fulfillment, and joy?  Why would one bury the gifts He’s given, like the talent in the story?  Can a buried talent grow?  Can hidden wealth multiply?  Can a thing grow untended?  Would it be wise to let things come up as a dream?  Or, would it be better to make a plan, and get some training?  To take that class?  To read or listen to someone you admire in the field to which you feel called?

Maybe you’ve been mulling things over for a while.  Maybe you’ve been on the sidelines watching everyone else do what makes them happy.  I’m here to tell you, it’s not too late.  The key is, to just get started.  The truth is, opportunity never goes away.  It simply goes to the person who takes it before it expires-before they expire.   While we’re still here-it’s never too late to make the decision to start fresh, and to begin anew.  What if you’ve allowed weeks, or months…or even years to pass?  What if it seems like everyone else has a head start?

Don’t let the enemy discourage you, or seem to take your purpose from you.  He is the father of lies, and comes to steal, kill, and destroy your joy.  Only you have the  power to guard that.  Only you can make the decision to be happy.  Only you determine the attitude for your day, and for your life.  A grateful heart makes all the difference!  I am grateful you’re here!

Everyone is on a different journey, and no journey is exactly like yours.  Can we learn from others?  Take part as a member of a team, or community while we grow?  Of course!  Team opportunities are everywhere.  But, there is only one you.  Your calling has been placed in your heart, only. No one else can take your place-do what you are called to do-or say what you are called to say-in exactly the way you were called to say it-but you.

There is nothing new under the sun.  But…the way your see it, do it, or say it…can be only yours.  Don’t let that die with you.  We are given this time here on earth for a purpose. What’s yours?

Need help finding your purpose?  What are you great at doing?  What do you love to do?  What makes you happy while you do it?  There’s a reason.  Let that be a help.  A clue.

There are always three kinds of people in life.  Those who are playing the game.  Those who are watching the game, and those who don’t even know there’s a game being played!  Are you playing?  Are you on the sidelines cheering others on to success?  We all have a role.  But it is our choice what role(s) we take.  Tired of standing by, watching the fun?  Wishing you felt a part of the team?  The decision is yours.  You can even choose which game!  🙂  There are games all around us, but the fun…the triumphs and failures from which we learn…the people we meet, and with whom we become forever connected..all happen to those who have made a decision.  It’s a new season.  Are you ready to get in the game?

To do anything you have to have belief.  In the thing…and in yourself.  To do it well?  You’ll want BIG faith.  Plus-sized faith!

It’s a new season, y’all.  Grab your faith today, pick your coach and your team if you don’t already have one, and get in the game!

Plus-sized faith today, with Donnarae
