Be brave!

“In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.” Psalms 94:19
I sit at my desk, staring at the form I’m to fill out.  It’s a blessing, and will be extremely helpful, but at the same time–it’s hard to see.  The Dr. has evaluated my gait.  It is unsteady, and my ability to walk is severely limited.  “Unable to walk w/out assistance”, the words say.  I don’t feel like I can’t walk, y’all.  But, in truth, I am always holding on to something.  A cane.  A chair.  A wall.  A hand.  And, today?  The turn to walk back to the exam room almost resulted in a fall.  That was me, tripping over my pride.  Trying to show the Dr. I can absolutely walk just fine.  With my cane.  And still the gait is very “unsteady.”
Isn’t that a lot like life, though?  We need help.  We need assistance to stay steady.  A firm grip on reality, and people who can help keep us from falling.  Roy is that for me.  My RichWay family is that for me, and offer accountability.  And coaching.  My family and friends are that for me.
My God is the Solid Rock on which I stand, and no matter the storms that come, He will never waver.  Of that I am certain.
As I type, the birds outside tweet merrily.  As if everything is normal, and there’s not a care in the world.  What a beautiful reminder.  Our life can be met with the same joy.  The same song of praise.  The same lovely example, and heart of worship.
I pray I am able to be that picture of encouragement.  Ever-grateful, always a word of inspiration and praise on my lips.    We don’t always have to be smiling and happy, to have joy.  And, though it’s not always easy… we can always be grateful.  #Rich #TheRichWay #findingbalance
