The words used to hold a sense of anticipation for me. I would find myself flipping through old stacks of photos, searching for “just the right” memory to post on social media. A cute picture of the boys…or my man…or an occasion…or a celebration, etc.
Now?
When I read the words above, I’m simply struck with the urgency of today. Should we be grateful for the amazing blessings of our past? Of course! It’s fun to see the pictures, and be reminded. What we don’t want to do-what we cannot do-is stay there.
Our life is happening all around us, and it’s happening now! We woke with breath this morning for a reason. We’re not promised tomorrow, but we do have right now.
What will we do with this moment?
What will we do with this day? If you asked yourself for a throwback snapshot of this day –next week, next month, or next year…what-in words, or pictures- could you include of this day?
We won’t get a replay, y’all.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
This is your chance! This is your movie! This is your clean page!
YOU GET TO CHOOSE.
Where will you go? What will you do? Who will you be? What will you give? What are your goals? What do you see yourself accomplishing in the near future? Setting and reaching goals gives one a sense of purpose.
There’s a reason you’re here! What’s yours?
Life should be intentional, lived with purpose, and expectancy. “The world we could have is so much richer than the world we have settled for.” Malcolm Gladwell
